The Aloha United Way 211 Hawaiʻi helpline is the only comprehensive, community information and referral helpline in Hawaiʻi with a database of over 1,400 agencies and 4,000 programs. Offering a lifeline to those in need, 211 is powered by local experts who are trained to understand complex problems and connect individuals to essential resources on every island, in every zip code.

What is the 211 Helpline?

The 211 Helpline is a free, confidential service available statewide to help anyone in Hawaiʻi connect with vital resources. Our community resource specialists are equipped to handle inquiries spanning a wide range of topics, including:

  • Food, shelter, and clothing
  • Rental, housing, and utility assistance
  • Support and care programs for families, keiki, and kupuna
  • Disability services
  • Veteran services
  • Crisis intervention and disaster relief

We offer several methods for you to connect with a 211 Specialist, available from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week:

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Support in Hawaiʻi

Substance Use Care Coordinators provide personalized, one-on-one support for individuals facing substance use disorders.

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Weekends & Major Holidays: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
