AUW uses its best efforts to respect the privacy of its online visitors. We do not collect personally identifiable information from individuals unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. For example, personally identifiable information may be collected in order to respond to a stated desire to volunteer time to AUW, or to make a donation online. We use industry-standard encryption technologies or SSL when transferring and receiving payment data. We have security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from or about you.

The AUW website provides a number of applications and video entertainment on its web site as a service for its federation of 62 partner agencies and the public. Site visitors that are interested in volunteering their time and/or in-kind gifts are asked to provide their name and e-mail address to the non-profit organization requesting the service. By using the AUW website you agree not to hold AUW liable for any damages whatsoever, and in particular AUW shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or damages for lost profits, loss of revenue, or loss of use, arising out of or related to any AUW website or the information contained in then, whether such damages arise in contract, negligence, tort, under statute, in equity, at law or otherwise. AUW reserves the right to make changes to information on this website without notice.
