2024 Women United Fund Grant Application Is Now Open!
We are excited to announce the Aloha United Way Women United Fund's 2024 Grant Opportunity! This year, we are focusing on three crucial pillars to support our female community:
1. Economic Mobility for Women
2. Food Security for Female-Led Households
3. Education or Childcare for Female-Led Households
Current AUW Partner Agencies with initiatives involving 1 of those 3 pillars are invited to apply for this one-year grant! Applications are open from June 3, 2024 – July 1, 2024

Applications Open: June 3rd, 2024 at 9:00 AM (HST)
Deadline: July 1st, 2024 at 4:00 PM (HST)
Grant Award Notifications: On or about July 24, 2024
Grant Period: August 1st, 2024 – July 31st, 2025

In 2023 Women United Grant awards were made to the three organizations below.
Purple Maiʻa Foundation – Digital Transitions ~ The Digital Transitions program is a partnership between Purple Maiʻa and WorkNet to provide incarcerated women (20) at the Women’s Community Correctional Center with basic computer and software knowledge to aid in their transition from prison back to their communities.
Family Promise of Hawaiʻi – Mana Wahine Fund ~ The Mana Wahine Fund is a comprehensive assistance program designed to support female-led households in crisis, helping them achieve long-term stability through various essential services.
Women In Need – Bridge to Success ~ The project will implement a housing first option to transitional housing. A minimum of 10 victims of domestic violence will be served each year of the project.
Women United has also made a three-year commitment to supporting the ALICE Initiative with a $10,000 gift each year starting in 2022.
